What are Assets

Assets are objects that can be easily added to the platform and managed efficiently. This feature allows admins to manage a wide range of categories, such as sites, buildings, installations, machines, vehicles, certifications etc. You can add valuable asset details such as unique IDs, custom fields, documentation, rich media and generate QR codes. By adding and overseeing these objects, admins can easily plan and schedule important maintenance and inspections, making sure they are done on time. This complete asset management function greatly improves operational efficiency and helps with proactive maintenance.

Categorize Assets

Categories allows admins to organize their assets in a logical and structured manner. By categorizing assets, admins can easily locate and manage specific groups of assets based on their characteristics or purpose. For example, assets can be categorized by location, type, function, or any other relevant criteria. This helps admins streamline their asset management process and ensures that assets are easily identifiable and accessible. Create Tags

When creating tags for assets assigned to a specific category, you have the flexibility to define how these tags will be generated. This allows you to customize the tagging process according to your requirements. You can use system generated tagging where random letters and numbers are assigned to each new asset. Alternately you can opt for sequential numbers for each new asset. Both these options are useful when managing a high volume of assets. It is also possible to manually assign a specific tag.

Custom Asset Fields

Detail fields provide additional context for each asset, like the brand, model, serial number, license plate  and more. This is information specific to the asset that admins can view when looking at asset profile.

Actions

Creating actions for assets allows admins to set up and manage workflows related to their assets. This enables admins to create action plans, assign responsibilities, and track progress for various maintenance and inspection activities. By defining actions for assets, admins can ensure that important tasks are scheduled, executed, and completed on time.

Tasks

Members can select assets when completing their tasks and add related information to it. This  can also provide valuable  insights around activities performed against the asset.

Schedules

Schedule a regular occurrence  of tasks against your asset to ensure that your team are performing periodic checks proactively. This can be achieved through scheduling your workflows. To learn more on scheduling workflows read article on How to set a schedule for your workflow
