How to set a schedule for a workflow

Learn how to schedule a deadline for your workflow.

Before we get started 

Take note 

  • You can only set a schedule for the workflow if you are an "owner" or "admin" of the organization. 
  • You can only set a schedule for the workflow via the web portal. 

Set a schedule for your workflow.

Step 1: Sign in to the Capptions Direct web portal

Sign in to your Capptions Direct account using the link

Step 2: Select an organization 

Click on the drop-down arrow in the top left-hand corner and select your organization.

Step 3: Select a workflow or create a new one

Click on Templates -> Workflows-> + Create workflow. Build your workflow to include a single Form node and Report node. Ensure your first node is connected to the start and the last node to the end of the workflow. 

Step 4: Set a schedule 

Click on the three dots Screenshot 2023-09-25 at 12.52.13in the top right-hand corner of the workflow builder. Select 'Schedule settings'

4.1 Slide the 'recurring workflow' button to set the frequency of the workflow's recurrence. Set your workflow to repeat itself on a daily, weekly, or monthly. Enter how often this occurrence will take place. Should you want the workflow schedule to end after a given time, enter how often the workflow should repeat itself before coming to an end. Click update to save settings. 

Step 5:  Publish your workflow and assign it to your team 

Once you have built your workflow to completion or edit your existing one, click the publish button on the top right corner of the workflow builder and assign it to your team. To learn how to assign a workflow, view this article.
