How to invite members into your organization

This article will show you how to invite members into your organization.

Before you begin 

Take note 

  • You can only add a new member if you have the "owner" or "admin"  role responsibility on within the organization you are part of 
  • Each user or pending invite in an organization takes up a seat, meaning they count as members of the organization. 
  • If you are on the Fremium plan, you will only be allowed to have up to 2 members, including yourself, in the organization. 
  • The Captions Direct support member is a free seat on all plans 

Add a user 

Step1: Sign in to the Capptions Direct portal 

Click on the link to be re-directed to the Capptions Direct sign-in page 

Step 2: Select your organization 

Click on the drop-down arrow to expand the view of your organizations and select the one you would like to invite users to

Step 3: Click on Settings 

Step 4: Click on members

Step 5: Invite members to your organization 

5.1Invite each member separately 

By entering each user's email address, you can also define what role they will occupy on the platform. If you have already established your teams, you can also choose to assign them to one or do so at a later stage.

5.2 Invite multiple members in bulk 

If you have multiple users to add to the portal, you can bulk-add them by entering their email addresses and separating each one with a comma. This is best to use when inviting users who have the same "Role"

5.3 Preferred invitation language

By selecting the preferred invitation language. You can also send an invitation to the member in their preferred language ( if supported ).

Step 6: Click Invite users 

If the member's email address is already registered to a Capptions Direct account, an invite will be sent to accept your invite to join your organization.

Adding Capptions Direct Support members 

Step 1: Follow the above steps from 1 to 4 of the article 

Step 5: Click support 

Step 6: Click Invite Support Member 

Click on the Invite Support Member button to view the available members

Step 7: Select Support member

From the list provided, select the Capptions Direct support staff you would like to invite or use the search bar to search for a member that is not listed.
