How to set a default report template

Why set a default report template? 

A default report template is a single template that will be used across all workflows built within your organization. By setting your default template, you will not need to add a report to the workflow. The system will automatically initiate this. 

Before we get started 

Take note

  • You can only set a default report template if you are an admin or owner of the organization 
  • You can only set a default report template via the web portal 
  • The system automatically sets the default report template as the Capptions branded template 
  • When a default template is set, you will not have to insert a report template into the report node of your workflow. 

Set a default report template 

Step 1: Sign in to the Capptions Direct web portal

Sign in to your Capptions Direct account using the link

Step 2: Select an organization 

Click on the drop-down arrow in the top left-hand corner and select an organization. 

Step 3: Click on Templates 

Step 4: Click on Reports 

Create a report template and publish it once done

Step 5: Click on Settings

Step 6: Click +Pick from existing templates button 

Select a report template from the templates you have built or from a bundle you have purchased
