How to enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

This article will show you how to enable Two-Factor Authentication also known as 2FA.

Why enable Two-Factor Authentication?

2FA adds an extra layer of security to your account by requiring a second verification step in addition to your password. This protects against hacking, phishing, and data breaches, keeping your sensitive information secure.

 

Before we get started

Take Note:

  • Two-Factor Authentication will be executed through SMS, so make sure your phone is easily accessible to speed up the process.

  • A Capptions Direct account is required to enable Two-Factor Authentication.

  • Once Two-Factor Authentication is enabled, it can also be disabled by clicking the "Disable" button in the same place where you enabled it.

Enabling Two-Factor Authentication

 

Step 1: Sign in to the Capptions Direct web portal

Sign in to your Capptions Direct account using the link

Step 2: Click the profile icon

Click on the profile icon at the top-right corner of your screen.

Step 3: Click the "Profile Settings" tab

In the drop-down menu, click on the Profile Settings tab to navigate to your account's profile settings.

Step 4: Scroll down and select your country code

Click on the phone icon and scroll to select your designated country code.

Step 5: Enter your phone number

After selecting your country code, enter your phone number in the text field.

Step 6: Enter the code you receive on your phone

Enter the 6-digit code sent to your phone via SMS in the designated field.
