How to enable two-factor authentication (2FA) for your organization

Why enable 2FA

Enabling Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your accounts by requiring not only a password but also a second form of verification, such as a code sent to your phone. This significantly reduces the risk of unauthorized access, as even if someone discovers your password, they would still need the second factor to gain entry. By enabling 2FA, you can protect sensitive information and prevent potential security breaches. It is a simple yet effective way to enhance the security of your accounts and data.

Before we get started

Take note 

  • Owners and Admins can enable 2FA 
  • 2FA will be enabled for both web app access and mobile app 
  • The code sent for Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is only valid for 15 minutes.

Enable 2FA

Step 1: Sign in to the Capptions Direct web portal

Sign in to your Capptions Direct account using the link

Step 2: Select an organization 

Click on the drop-down arrow in the top left-hand corner and select the organization for which you want to activate the 2FA setting for. 

Step 3: Click on Settings 

Step 4: Toggle 2FA feature on

Scroll down to the Features section and slide the button on. Upon login in, each user will be required to complete the sms 2FA
