Why create an Anonymous link?
By generating an anonymous link, you can easily share a form template with individuals who may not have access to the Capptions platform or may not want to disclose their identity. This allows for greater flexibility in collecting responses and feedback without the need for users to log in or provide personal information. It also ensures a level of privacy and anonymity for respondents, which can be particularly important in sensitive or confidential situations.
Before we get started
Take note:
- You need to be an Admin or the Owner of the organization
- To generate an Anonymous link a new workflow must be initiated
- The Anonymous link is valid to use by a single user at a time
Create an Anonymous link
Step 1: Sign in to the Capptions Direct web portal
Sign in to your Capptions Direct account using the link
Step 2: Select an organization
Click on the drop-down arrow in the top left-hand corner and select your organization.
Step 3: Click on Templates
Step 4: Click Workflows
Step 5: Edit an existing workflow or create a new one.
Step 6: Right-click on the workflow builder to reveal the node menu
Step 7: Add Anonymous user node
7.1 Select the Anonymous user node
7.2 Connect the ANONYMOUS USER node to a FILL A FORM node by drawing a line between the purple dots
7.3 Select the link recipient.
Step 8: Publish workflow
Click on the Publish button on the top right corner of the workflow builder.
Step 9: Assign workflow to a team
9.1 Click on the three horizontal dots next to the workflow.
9.2 Click Assign to Team
9.3 Select the team to assign the workflow or create a new team
9.4 Click Assign Workflow to Team
Step 10: Start workflow
Click on Actions -> Start New Workflow
Step 11: Share the Anonymous link
Copy link from email
11.1 Navigate to your email inbox. An email with the subject Anonymous link will contain a sharable link. Alternatively, forward the email to the respective user.
Copy the Anonymous link from the platform
11.2 Click Results -> Workflow Results
11.4 Click Details -> Copy link
11.5 Share link to a user
