      How to add conditions to form fields

      This article will show you how to add conditions to a form Field

      Before we get started 

      What are conditions?

      Conditions are rules that you can set up to determine how the form behaves based on the user's input. They can be used to show, hide and skip fields. Conditions are typically set as "if this, then that" statements. For example, you might set up a condition that says, "If the user selects "yes" for a particular question, then this displays an additional set of fields" Alternatively, you might set up a condition that says, "If the user selects 'no' for a particular question, then hide specific fields of the form" 

      Take note 

      • You can only set conditions to a form field if you have the role responsibility of being an "owner" or "admin" of the organization you are setting a condition to a form for or on your own account called the Personal Sandbox. 
      • You can only set conditions to a form field via the web portal.

      Add conditions to a form field

      Step 1: Sign in to the Capptions Direct web portal

      Sign in to your Capptions Direct account using the link

      Step 2: Select an organization 

      Click on the drop-down arrow in the top right-hand corner and select the organization you would like to clone a form from. 

      Step 3: Click on Templates 

      Step 4: Select the form 

      Step 5: Select the Field that you want to apply the condition to 

      Step 6: Click Add Condition 

      Step 7: Click Add rule 

      Step 8: Click Select Field 

      Step 9: Click Choose operator 

      Step 10: Click Select Field 

      Step 11: Click Save 

      Step 12: Preview the workflow 

      Step 13: Click Publish to publish the workflow

      Click Publish on the top right-hand corner to publish the template. You can also return back to it at a later stage if not yet ready to publish
