Guide to reporting issues on Capptions Direct

We have created a guide to help you report any issues or bugs. Follow the steps below for effective support.




Step 1:  Identify the Issue:
 Clearly describe the issue you are experiencing. Include as much detail as possible about what steps you have taken when the issue occurred.

Step 2. Record the Issue:
  •  If possible, create a screen recording or screenshot of the issue. This visual evidence can significantly help our team to understand and resolve the problem more quickly.
  • For screen recordings on iOS devices, you can use the built-in screen recording feature found in the Control Center.
  • For screen recordings on devices later than Android 11, you can use built-in tools or third-party apps available on the Google Play Store.


Step 3. Gather Necessary Information:


Device Type:

  • Indicate whether you are using the web platform or the mobile app.

 Mobile App Version:

  • If you are using the mobile app, provide the version number. You can usually find this in the app settings under "About" or "Version."

 Device Information:

  • If you are using the mobile app, specify the type of device (e.g., iPhone 12, Samsung Galaxy S21) and the operating system version (e.g., iOS 15, Android 11).

Step 4. Submit Your Report:
  •    Send an email to our support team at support@capptions.direct
  •    Include the following details in your email:
  •    Subject Line: Brief description of the issue (e.g., "App Crash When Uploading Photos")
  •    Description: A detailed description of the problem you are experiencing
  •    Recording/Screenshot: Attach any screen recordings or screenshots
  •    Device Information: Indicate if you use the web platform or the mobile app. If using the mobile app, include the app version and device type
  •    Additional Information: Any other relevant details that might help us understand the issue better

Example:

Subject Line: App Crash When Uploading Photos

Description: Whenever I try to upload photos, the app crashes consistently. This issue occurs specifically when I add a comment before uploading the photo. Afterwards, the app becomes unresponsive, which hinders any further progress. To resolve this, I need to close the app and restart it to resume normal functionality.

  • Platform: Mobile App
  • App Version: 2.3.1
  • Device: iPhone 12
  • OS Version: iOS 15

Additional Information: I have tried using both WiFi and 4G, but the issue persists on both networks.
